Pipefitter and Boilermakers - In retirement, I want to be a writer and a blacksmith. You wouldn’t think those two would go together but I’m going to give it a go
Does anyone know of a good source of heavy metal tools like forges, jigs, the steel itself, anvils, etc.? My plan is to buy used equipment because I don’t like the look of of new stuff. It’s gotta be down and dirty.

My family has been going to this Folk School for year and Max took a blacksmithing class. A fun place for beginners or pros to learn some of the finer details of any trade or craft.
I would imagine there are chatrooms specific to blacksmith, maybe look around for some.
You can also do a Craigslist search around your area, multiple cities.
