Can any of you recommend or know anyone that can do a Manual J preferably using Writesoft for me? I'm in Suffolk.

    Thanks, However the day is hot and my patience is short. I was hoping to find someone that only does load calculations to draw it up in writesoft and hand me the numbers so I could save time and get to workin'

    I was hoping to get it for free using my charming personality and boyish good looks......but Of course I know I have to pay.And pay I shall! I usually use coolcalc; Its annoying and loadcalc is annoyinger.

    Are your installers ready to rock and roll? If you get the J tomorrow, are we knocking tin tomorrow, or waiting 8 weeks?

    Im the installer. Im doing extracurricular piping in my house. I usually use coolcalc or pencil and paper. I find coolcalc hard to use and the calculations in my Hydronic Heating & Cooling manual for steamfitter apprentices is outdated and time consuming. Between work and taking care of a 4 month old im short on time. I need a new AC. Besides being hot im neurotic and want a solid load calculation. I was hoping to find a recommendation on an energy efficiency company or the like to give me a full report. I found a company but havnt heard much about them. Plus, recommendations from this forum are always appreciated. Looks like I will be breaking out my Ticonderoga #2 and a crisp piece of loose leaf.

    What you want is a certified HERS rep to visit your home and get all the info for the J. They can provide you with the cooling load. Depending on your town or village, code might require a system test for allowable duct loss based on the sq. ft. of the conditioned space.
