Hot water turned off

So without getting into too many unnecessary details, my father is a narcissist and turned off the hot water. Initially it was just too my bathroom and now to the whole house. I was about to figure out how he turned it off initially but eventually he changed how he turned it off and I can't figure it out. I know it has to be something simple because a couple of days ago he said he was turning it back on (because I was sick) and I heard him walk downstairs and come back up right away after going towards the boiler.

I have attached pictures of the boiler itself and take more of needed. The switch for the boiler is on, the water temperature is set to normal, and as of right now with the whole house without hot water, the boiler still runs just no hot water.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you! :)

Sounds like you are young. If you turn the hot water back on he may be angry with you.

I don't think the boiler provides hot faucet water anymore. The pipe from the coil is disconnected.

I appreciate your concern but that doesn't bother me. I'm used to it. Narcissist, remember? Do you happen to know how to turn it back on?

Can you tell me where you are seeing this or circle it on the picture so I can understand? If your talking about the bucket under the one hanging pipe, that was there even when it provides hot water.

    Edit:
I can also provide pictures from months ago when he was turning it off another way.

Does the hot water run cold or is there no pressure on the hot water side?

The hot water runs cold, I just checked and the pressure seems to be fine everywhere except for my bathroom sink which hasnt had hot water in forever and must be a separate thing. I've had hot showers and still cold sink water, so yeah

Half way up the tan hot water tank is the grey aquastat(thermostat). Might check to see what temp it’s set at.

Proceed with caution. He might have issues affording oil, keeping the house warm enough etc. if the boiler hasn’t been serviced in awhile it’s due for a cleaning, nozzle, combustion test etc.

I appreciate your concerns, thank you. That's how he was changing it before. He used to switch it to blank, but now it's been set to normal for awhile and still no hot water. I'll done check but I don't think that's it. Any other suggestions?

    Edit:
I know he's turning it off himself because he's admitted it. He turned it on a week all for a couple of days and I heard him go downstairs and within a couple of minutes it was running and hot. And also I think it was all switched out and cleaned out whatever just back in July because several things used to be label with a December date and now they all say July 2018.

Everything looks on. Is the boiler running for heat? If it is I would suspect possibly a wire has been disconnected somewhere

Could be a separate valve for hot water at the point of use.

Sooo, is he shutting it off because of punishment, or is there something wrong? Maybe a leak he needs to fix?

I would look to see if he pulled the wire off on the water heater aquastat... that is the grey box half way up on the superstor. Pull the cover off and see if both wire are attached.

Also check the zone valve on the boiler for a loose wire.

I don't know if this has any meaning, but there are stickers of cartoon men on the boiler zone valve to the indirect tank, on the aquastat on the indirect tank, and on the control box in front of the old hot water coil in the boiler. There is also a magnetic LED light with blue plastic trim stuck on the control box. I'd hide the light.

There's nothing wrong with it, he's turning it off cause he's an ****. The cops have been called before and told him to turn it back on but as stated he's a narcissist and thinks he's above the law.

Okay, I will check when I get a chance, thank you.

I will try my best to figure out where that is and check it out.

The stickers are from my dad. He never grew up and likes to express himself with sticks. Really no reason other than that.

On the water tank there is a label that says Superstor, above that a blue round handle on a copper pipe. Can you post a photo of of the blue handle area?

I see a lot of exposed wire and wire nuts. He might be loosening wires from one of those points. Maybe disconnecting a wire folding it out of contact and putting the wire nut back on?
    or,
Did he have another on-off switch installed in July?

If you enlarge the picture that blue handle is for a spigot on the pipe.
There is a red straight handle just to the left and below that expansion tank (gray tank hanging from that black pipe) that is closed. Turn that handle so that it is lined up with the copper pipe it is attached to and see if that fixes things.

There is two ball valve handles taped to the pipe. Those go to two ball valves which do not have handles. Whether those two valves are in the correct position to provide hot water I can’t tell.

I think those are off for a reason. Im thinking the old tankless coil didn't work well and the they got the superstor…
Where is this house? Im thinking you need a pro to go there...

From the pictures I see, and the description you gave, there must be some valves somewhere up in the ceiling that shuts off various part of the house. If you are getting hot water out of the shower at times, but not the sink, then there must be some place where the water can be isolated. I don't see any way parts of the system can be shut off at the boiler, so it must be somewhere else. Can you show us some ceiling pictures showing the piping?
If you follow the pipe that come out of the water tank, ( left side of tank, up high, with label that says t&p on it), and see where it goes, there might be some valves on it that are shut off.
