Toilet ballcock connection size

Hi all.

Is the supply connection to toilet ballcocks and fill valves a standard size? Are there or were there different sizes over the years?

I have a 1960s American Standard and I need to make up a test hose so I can supply it with water outside to work on it.

I'm just going to leave it at that. :P.
Single pipe quasi-vapor system. Typical operating pressure 0.14 - 0.43 oz. EcoSteam ES-20 Advanced Control for Residential Steam boilers. Rectorseal Steamaster water treatment

  • It's a strange size: 7/8" IPS
    8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

WC riser flex tube would give you a transition from 3/8" compression to WC connection.

I'm assuming they're all the same size then?

Even a 1940s setup? Commercial (non-Sloan) and Residential?

All American made toilets ballcock connection size has been 7/8” for over 100+ years.
