Gorton valve horizontally. Steam radiator

in THE MAIN WALL
My super installed a Gorton Straight valve horizontally in my radiator which had an angled valve before. Is this going to cause problems? Thanks in advance for the answer.

    Picture would be good, but if they did what it sounds like then yes it will be a problem.

    If they can't get that basic concept correct, makes one wonder what else is probably wrong.

    That's not right. Vent hole is facing left.

    No good. The Gorton has a float in it and to operate properly the can must be vertical -- that is, with the connection to the radiator on the bottom, connecting through a 90 degree elbow, and the vent opening on the top.

    They sure are raising the bar for stupidity on steam. I know it's not necessarily in keeping with this site, but a wall of shame sure would be fun.
