I have the pro press machine, I have 3 boiler jobs coming up, is there any reason I or you wouldn’t use black pipe all the way to the circ pump, including the taco air separator and closely spaced tees?

What type of boilers are you installing?0

Assuming hydronic, I would say go press. Significantly quicker.:NYplumber:0

I posted a pic I redid the piping on a GV 90 W/M i went with black pipe. I want to see the cost value vs copper. I still spent close to $600.00 in black pipe.0

yeah, steel and iron aren't cheap anymore especially post tariff.gwgillplumbingandheating.com

2 1/2 hrs cutting and fitting (2 1/2' & 3")
15 minuets to press all the fittings with water dripping.

no doubt it's fast 2 1/2 & 3' fittings are $$ but the labor saved is huge. is it a better job than welded or threaded, I doubt it but it's done and you cant solder with dripping water. vic fittings are $$ too0

nice at a smaller job and it was near boiler piping with no threads just nipples ( 1 1/4 140,000 btu's ) I still spent a lot of money but I also bought zone valves, a board air separator.
I want to price it out per fitting and see what I come up with.
there is a huge difference between 1 1/4 and 3 inch elbows0
