not steam or boiler related, my wife wants a spa for back yard. All I see are electric spa any suggestions we went a 6 seat spa.

    Spas are, in my mind, pretty disposable. They all have different features but, in the end, you are doing well to get 5-10 years out of one.
    It has been a few years but you used to be able to order them without an electric heater so you could run off a heat exchanger from a hydronic source.

    And a "break on rise" aquastat with manual reset and a solenoid valve wouldn't be a bad idea so we won't have to come over and add carrots and potatoes.

    how far from the boiler? Those super insulated electric versions are fairly economical to run, 25- 30 a month. Check some of the online calculators.
