Radiant t-stats

For years this has been my favorite radiant t-stat

You could set the min and max temps and then lock the unit so it could not be changed by the user. They were great for rental properties where people who did not understand radiant would crank up the heat only to get too hot and overheat the room. It had simple PWM to minimize overshoots.

The new one does not have the lockout feature, not only that but it looks like someone could accidentally turn off the heat with 1 button and freeze the house.

Does anyone know of a product with the features of the discontinued model?

    How about the Tekmar 552 You could set it up for Limited, gives user up and down control, but has freeze protection even if turned off at the t'stat.
    It is a 4 wire stat...and then there's the gateway...(if you want/need it).

    It stinks when something works perfectly for your needs and they discontinue it.
    Any chance you can go with remote sensors and lock up the stats in the basement (also probably more expensive).

    That tekmar look pretty nice. The earlier versions of the 500 series required a funky backing plate to cover an in-wall box or replace a standard stat. Wiring space was tight also. Looks like they addressed both.
