Real time saver for those who can't work a pair of snips. I bet the boiler/furnace was nice and clean with the high neg draft...

The sad part is this is off of a Bud g215 with a Riello gas gun----meaning-- the original guy may have goofed it, but the guy that put the MG-1 damper on sure would have seen this. Two knuckle headers in a row.

With a gas conversion burner, shouldn't the regulator be on the run with a spill switch?

Yes my smiley pic is without the barometric damper and spill switch. My guy took this piece out and added a piece of 6” and a 6” tee.; the barometric wasn’t the problem. I guess my subject title isn’t super accurate. He brought his back to the office knowing I’d be tickled

Only if it's an atmospheric type or one with a standing pilot light. On a power burner with electric ignition, the setup in the pic is correct as long as the hole in the smoke pipe is full size and a blocked-flue spill switch is used.

Are you saying the baro was installed without cutting in to the flue?

This was how we found it, yes it did have a barometric damper on it. The damper wasn’t the problem through. This little hole was the problem. We installed a tee (yes we could have cut out the hole to match the damper)
