Test where required by the boiler mfr. and the mfr of the PRV. Have a spare on hand with the threads prepped with PTFE/ dope. Hydronic boilers are required to have shutoffs on the supply and return. If not present, explain their absence is preventing techs from testing the PRV, which is a safety issue.
