Zone Valve Control v Switch Relay

I just read a tread where a zone valve control and a switch relay are differentiated. So, if I understand correctly, with a zvc I can use one circulator and I would need two (I have two zones in my house) zone valves, with the switching relay, I would need two circulators? Also, can I hook up a line (110) voltage thermostat to the zone valve control module, or do the thermostats need to be 24v? Thank you for your help.

    If you have two zone valves and one circulator you would want a ZVC. I think most non programmable 110 volt t-stats will work with 24 volt power, there may be exceptions.

    Be careful , some electricians pick up the line at the wall switch for the boiler .. Fizzle
