Program Thermostat to cycle heat on time intervals and not just Temp?

Greetings - my wood stove is keeping my thermostat registering high temps and as a result the heat in that zone is not firing. When the temps drop very low outside, that zone will freeze due to the lack of cycling. We manually cycle the system by calling for heat, even when it's already, say, 75 in that zone due to the wood stove. The problem is when we go to sleep or are out of the house, we can't do that and the pipes freeze. A thermostat that calls for heat on a set time schedule that ignores the current registered temp would resolve that - but I can't fine one! Maybe a commercial one? Help!

    There may be a commercial one. It's not a common idea, since time has no relationship to temperature -- at least that I've ever seen -- and temperature is the usual objective.

    Is there any particular reason that you can't use a regular time switch to enable or disable to boiler, or at least that zone?

    You can relocate the thermostat, install propylene glycol into the system, wire the circ hot with a switch for constant circulation, wire in a timer for that circ.
