Thermostat Voltage

Lennox GSR14 Pulse. LPG. 60% in tank. Nothing is happening at furnace. No clicks, hums, nothing.

120 volts in. I have approx 29 volts across R and C but have approx 14 volts across W and C at thermostat terminals. Also checked at terminal strip in unit with demand on heat.

I replaced the transformer and the results are the same.

Earlier, while out walking my dog, I heard a loud pop so I assume a fuse on a pole blew somewhere. When I got home, there was no power. Local utilities were seen shortly and then power was back on shortly after that. Curious if this caused a problem with my Gas Energy Inc controller.

The secondary limit was tripped but resetting it did not help.

Thinking about jumping R to W but didn't want to try until after hearing something from the forum.

Thanks in Advance.

Man,it can be a defective one.

That's a lot of opinions in your first post. Why so angry?
-Never had a problem with a Lennox, besides the usual problems with any brand of equipment
-Have had Allstate for 25 years, never had a problem with claims.
-Have done business with a number of companies in Texas...never been ripped off.

To the OP, it is possible something could've fried a component or two. It's imperative to get a qualified tech out to check every component, and all the safeties, to ensure you system is operating properly.
It's bad enough if something was fried and your furnace won't run.
It's worse if your furnace runs, and won't shut off due to a defective safety/limit.

Lennox Pulse had a reputation for various issues.

But sounds like something is fried in the control board to cause voltage to bleed off between W and C.

What??? Care to elaborate or your just mad you lost your Hello Kitty lunchbox?
@thewiseguy13, if a limit tripped, it did it for a reason. Call a pro. Might be time for an upgrade. Lennox makes a great 2 stage 90+ furnace.

Disconnect W from the board and check W-C voltage again
I have enough experience to know , that I dont know it all

Or better yet disconnect all the low voltage wires from board and jump R W and see if it fires up. How do you know the limit was tripped. Did the button "click" when pushed.

some of the old pulses have a delay timer and a contactor inside one or the other could be shorted/welded.
