It's really been that long? WOW! Those early gatherings of wetheads and steamers were something that unless you experienced them are impossible to describe. The one in Boston is the one I remember the best. A lot has happened, and this incredible website has made it so. A great service to the industry and giving a voice to some very remarkable people who likely wouldn't have one otherwise. Thanks for the memories and the learning and for the chance to meet and work with some very interesting people.

WOW, twenty years already. I came into the field in my forties as a second career. I began as a tech with an oil company and stumbled onto the site while doing a search for steam systems. I gained a large amount of knowledge in both steam and hydronics. What has always stuck with me was the first Wetstock in Massachusetts. I had posted that I was looking forward to putting faces with names and being around so many industry experts. Shortly after signing in that morning Dan sought me out to introduce himself. He had read my post and remembered it. I was very impressed that a new guy with very little to contribute caught his attention. Glad to see twenty years of success. THANK YOU

Few people have done as much for an Industry as Dan, Bringing proven ideas and solutions to an Industry that sometimes has been reluctant to change, To put these ideas in a easy to understand and read format has provided a service that has not been matched, We owe Dan a great deal of thanks, and his humor is refreshing, It is encouraging to see this mission carried on by someone who seems to share these same Ideals

Without the Wall, I wouldn't be where I am today. Thanks for 15 years of providing knowledge, insight, and a place to share, Dan. And for the hilarious get togethers over the years :)

Thank you Dan and Erin. I came aboard sometime around 98 or 99. I have made many great friends on this site. I have learned so much from my fellow contractors here. Plenty of business has been directed to me from this site.

I look forward to the next 20.

Well, I didn't get on line until the early 2000's, but yes, I've had LAOSH for years before that :)

What everyone else said. The wall has been a wonderful resource and a great place to chat and make friends. I can't remember when I signed on, but this is the third web platform I'm seeing. I've been logging on multiple times a day for so long now, it's a permanent fixture in my life.

And the same is true, I would not be where I am today if it were not for this site and the people who frequent it.

Many thanks to the Holohans for a wonderful job of bringing people together and sharing knowledge. And thanks for keeping this site inclusive and civil.

My former boss always talked about books by this guy Holohan. Then I attended your seminar at Robert Morris University in 2001 and I was hooked! I tell all the apprentices you have to read these books. Thanks Dan!

Thank you Dan for this great resource! and thank you Erin for keeping it going!
I remember reading the great articles in PM magazine and then the LAOSH book, and then the Dead Men Steam School Seminar, and then more books and more seminars. When heatinghelp.com got going I thought, what a great idea! I continually tell all of my students and colleagues about this valuable site.
The beauty of it is that so many kind, thoughtful and generous people have fed off of the Holohans' contribution to the education of a very noble trade. The respect that Dan and Erin give to the worker and the business, has connected and spread to so many people. Helping others can be addictive. Something we seem to need now more than ever.
Heatinghelp.com helps keep people and the business warm!
And that is a beautiful thing!
Thanks to the Holohan's and all of the Wallies!!!

    with gratitude,

Hi Dan and Erin, I have been teaching all week days and also nights so did not know this posting was going on.

Dan if memory serves me I met you in New Hampshire both of us doing training sessions. I was teaching on Hydronic Controls and Wiring on a Thursday and you were teaching on Friday on Hydronic Systems. You sat in on my session on Thursday and I will never forget what you did at the 10 O'Clock break, you stood up and turned around to everybody and said pay attention to this guy he knows what he is talking about.

We had dinner that night and the rest is history.

I can't for the life of me remember when I first posted on HeatingHelp maybe sometime in 2000.

I want to thank you and your family for the opportunity to participate here on this site for all these years. You have been a great friend and have helped often when things got a little rough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I began reading Dan''s articles in the B & G pamphlets and P & M in 1986? Took awhile in my journey to get actively online, and Dan had a lot to do with that. He paved the way for many of us and I would not have the breadth and variety of experience's without his leadership. As I explain to folks outside our industry, Dan Holohan is The rockstar of the heating industry .
He is the OTHER great Hicksville "rockstar" alum along with Billy Joel. Dan, TLM and their girls are family to me. From the articles, books, seminars in King of Prussia PA, wetstocks, Plumbers picnics, and long "therapy" sessions on the barstool with Holohan, I have absorbed the love, the lessons, wisdom, humility, gratitude and joy of knowledge through a modern day Socrates of hydronics.
I would not have known most of you were it not for Dano. I am grateful for all he has afforded us and that Erin has grabbed the torch and is taking it foward. Eternally grateful. Thank you man! Mad Dog
