If you need some large expansion tanks let me know, I have a couple B&G 90V tanks I could send your way.

I don't know how to say this but.

I don't think LPG is considered a solid fuel.

LP tanks are often used for large thermal storage vessels in the solid fuel business, I suspected he may be shopping for tanks to be used as buffers. But that suspicion is from following his posts over at the wood burner chat rooms.

Lol, well I actually am going to use it for LP, my fuel oil was appriaching 7 years old. Decided ti sell the oil boiler and tank as a lot. Going ti use LP as backup for many reasons. But good guesses, i already have large thermal storage for my wood setup. Will take advantage of that with LP as well.

When you pipe a fossil fueled boiler to a large thermal tank, consider involving a small % of the tank. My LP boiler only heats about 25 gallons at the top of the tank.

This gives me an ideal buffer for my small zone and also allows fast recovery for DHW if the wood or solar is offline for a period.

It also reduces standby loss from the tank at LP expense.
