Viessmann comparison

I have a job coming up that has 1,200 square feet of radiant and a small DHW load. I have two Viessmann choices:

- Vitodens 222-F B2TB35 combi
or
- Vitodens 200-W B2HB-26 with a Combi PLUS DHW heat exchanger

Any preferences?
8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Two btu per sq ft for degree difference for a slab

To the best of my knowledge, the combi plus is only compatible with the existing
100 series. The combi plus add on is being phased out in favor of an all in one case design.

  • Thanks, guys. I suppose with the 25 gallon tank, the 222-F would reduce short cycling.

I've done a few 222-F boilers now. They have become my go to whenever possible. Indeed they do not short cycle. On small heating systems I use a Low Loss Header for the obvious benefit.
