Peerless indirect

I have a peerless boiler PT-140 and want to pair it with an indirect peerless PT-50. The piping distance between the units is 4 feet. The piping on the boiler is 1 inch and the indirect is 1-1/4. Can I use 3/4 to connect the two or should I do 1 inch?

Thanks

1" is coming off the boiler so would it be worth it to make it 1.25". Also with the units being so close together wouldn't sure if the piping size mattered?

    Thanks for your help.

your set up for 1" off the boiler so go with that. The cost difference between 1" & 3/4" on a short run isn't much. If you use 3/4 you might regret it. 1" will give you at least 80k capacity.

Another question, I have the set point for DHW at 160. On the boiler I can limit the input for a DHW load, should I limit it down or leave it 100%?

    Thanks
