Pump to empty

Options
Since old WHs don't like to drain, what kind of pump do you boys use to help them along? Thanks

Valve off the cold line, air compressor coupled to the hot line.
Did you pull the drain valve?

air compressor was my favorite method. pump to 100 psi and watch them drain!

Agree, remove the bottom drain and put a nipple or hose adapter on. those round plastic type of drains plug quickly, even the brass compression style.
