    You can use this:
    s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/R7284-INSTALL.pdf
but take special note of the wiring diagram for use with a line voltage thermostat--IOW, don't wire line voltage thermostat to T-T on control.

Yes, as Steamhead asked, what kind of equipment do you have.
    Boiler-make/model
    Burner-make/model
    Aquastat-make/model

...Could you explain about the line voltage thermo. & The T-T control ? (I'm not that familiar with this...)...

I (collective we) can only help so much. If you unsure with wiring, best let a pro come in and do the simple replacement. If you make a mistake, then you buy another control. 2 controls at your price isn't much cheaper then a pro coming in and doing it.

Thanks for your prompt reply Steve &Steamhead !!
    It's a Burnham RS -111-T-TB
    S/N 8899035 series WV-18-9A
Burner is a Beckect Mod. AF
I'm not sure what the "Aquastat " is or does ...It does have the other cotrolbox (above it )its also a Honeywell that deals w/ Hi-Low water temp.settings & a thermostat upstairs.
And there seems to be (4) variations of this R7284 ...B, P, U or G ?? I'm assuming I'd be using the (U) model (Universal).
Thanks, Your help IS GREATLY Appreciated !! :)

OK- how long do you expect to keep this boiler in service, before replacing it?

As long as it doesn't leak, I just replaced the complete comb. chamber. & it runs & performs nice ( except for this intermittent ignition prob. that went away when I cleaned the contacts on the relay in the prim. control. that why I want to upgrade that control. Prob. will probably recurred sooner than later.

OK- assuming your burner does not have a solenoid oil-delay valve, the simplest alternative is the Beckett 7505A-0000 which directly replaces your current control, with two exceptions: 1- it shuts off the ignition after the flame is established, saving electricity and wear, using separate connections for the ignition and motor, and 2- you will have to install a jumper wire across the thermostat terminals. Also, it has the current 15-second lockout time rather than the old control's 45 seconds, which is far safer. If you absolutely can't have a pro handle this, the 7505A-0000 should keep you out of trouble.

If an older boiler is to stay in service for a while, I like to add an oil-delay valve which cleans up the starts and stops, reducing soot buildup, simplifying future maintenance and improving the unit's seasonal efficiency. This is where a more-sophisticated control like the R7284 earns its keep. All new oil burners come with this setup. But I do not recommend that a non-pro handle this type of upgrade. It has to be done just right.

After any type of work on any combustion unit, be it oil, gas, pixie dust or whatever, a digital combustion test is mandatory. If you don't test, you're guessing- literally "playing with fire". This is another reason to have the right pro handle your burner.
