question guys,
i have a alpine 105 b about 2 yrs old,, i'm getting ignition failure error code. i cleaned boiler, flame sensor and electrodes on ignitor,,still error code come up
i took off ignitor assembly and watched the electrodes spark thru the sequence, all seemed ok,,but i didnt smell any gas,,,i can hear the gas solenoid during this.
i am a plumber and am familiar with this,, but i;m stumped here..so..bad ignitor? small crack in porcelain???
any help appreciated!

    Not getting gas?

    Is it natural or LP? Check the regulator outside and make sure its vent isn't blocked by snow or ice.

    Could also be a bad gas valve, but if you don't have a digital manometer and are not trained to use it, then that cannot be confirmed.

    If it is the gas valve, and you replace it, then the manometer and combustion analyzer should be used to adjust it when the boiler is fired off again.
