Dear friends ,

In the first place , I would like to thank you all for the previous useful comments that you professionals made them .

As you know better , cleaning the ash and fumes off the cast Iron boiler's blades is one of the most difficult and time consuming jobs in heating world .Here, we have got some projects which their boiler rooms are equipped with oil burners and floor standing Cast Iron boilers . We tent to clean the boilers and burners off from ash and fumes ,and some boilers 's accessibility to middle blades and read blades are not possible although we use a flexible metal brush which is useful to scrubbing the inside of furnace easily . Also, rinsing the blades with plenty of warm water is the other aspect of the job .

Recently, I have browsing the net to see whether there is a chemical solution to spray onto blades of boilers to detach the dirt and ash easier ,however, I have got no solution . Hence , I am writing to request for help and how this job have done there ?

Thank you in advance for your time and support ,

I look forward to hearing from you ,

Yours Sincerely,

Roohollah

You'd probably need to use a soot saw to get all that mess out. It will take a lot of time.

Looks like the burner was not set up properly and that's why it sooted up.

Spray it down with water, The universal solvent. Commercial jobs you can get away with that. I said to spray, it not flood it.

    Dear Friends,

I would like just to appreciate for the solutions and your time .

The attached photograph has been taken from one of our projects which has installed for nearly 7 years . The boiler has been working with its oil burner for roughly 5 years without any maintenance or readjustment . In other words , i have installed and adjusted it since the time of the boiler room's startup . To my surprise , the burner has never failed and there was not sign of any white or black smoke out of the chimney . Also, whenever we asked to do some relevant jobs in the boiler room ,we never smelled flue gas or other irritating objects . However, we have known that the boiler and the burner had been in need of a good service , but the owner refrained from paying attention to it .

As for me , I live in Iran and I have read Prof.Holohan's articles in a domestic monthly magazine which belongs to heating and plumbing industry and are written in Persian since 2000 ,and the more I read his matchless articles the more I engaged in this industry .Hence , I have taken up English language for 7 years .To be honest , it was one of my greatest dreams to communicate with Prof. Holohan .Thank God for this unforgettable present .

Make the story short , Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable experiences with me .

I look forward to hearing from you professionals ,

    Yours Sincerely,

    Roohollah

Would oven cleaner (probably containing lye) help to turn any residual oiliness into soap, and make the mess more water soluble?--NBC

I would be concerned about the fumes and if cast iron is stripped down it could be like using soap on you Granny's frying pan.

Mr. Roohollah, who made that boiler. Was it from one of your local manufacturers, or maybe from another company, whose name we may recognize.
thank you for the pictures, which we always love to see.
Charlie, I dont think granny's cast iron frying pan is supposed to have any water on it, whether with soap or not.--NBC

water is fine with proper drying.
Let the debating begin!!! Rubbing salt on the boiler with a dry cloth seemed like a bit too much work.

You need combustion equipment. Not your eyes and nose to set up the burner.

    Dear NICHOLAS ,

I do aplogize for the delay in answering your question .In fact , I was around for days and I did not access to the nest .

With regard to your question , I would like to say that the boiler is Iran's best product .It's name is Mi3 - model m90 . To my knowledge , Perfect design and reliability make this brand stands head and shoulders above other domestic products . My crew and I have installed many different models of this brand for a decade and have not heard any failures . I will share more photographs of this brand soon .

Thank you for your encouraging comment and your kind words ;also, I appreciate all the commentors and viewers who provide me with informative sulotions which enhance my productivity .

    Yours Sincerely ,
