I have had a couple of these staple guns. After a year or so they stop working...not necessarily jammed (no staples caught) just will not staple T-stat wire any more. Any hints to resurrect this?

These things have very sensitive noses. Slam them into the end of a toolbox or let them land on their noses from less than a foot and the business end gets out of whack.0

good point. I have been pretty careful.... What do others use to secure t-stat wire to studs and the like?
