L7224C1004 & Boiler temp do not match

I have a New Yorker boiler with a tankless coil. Our domestic hot water supply has been subpar. I noticed the HL was 170 and LL was 140, so I turned them up to 190 to 170. That fixed the domestic hotter issue, but i noticed the boiler T&P gauge read 220 when it shut off, and the aquastat read 190. Need some help here please.

I have never had an issue with those aquastats. It may be more residual heat after the burner has run that is driving up the temp. Do you have a mixing valve? Your problem is more likely there if you do. I would set it 160/180 for now, and have the control checked and compare it to what the gauge reads.

A tridicator is far from a scientific instrument!

For sure Robert. I like my infrared to throw an objective third party into the mix, and usually side with it
