@ Snowmelt, Umm, every day in a NYC winter is cold, especially this past week where it's been hitting 0f and under, and I really didn't have time to play around with swapping pumps, I just needed to get a working one in and get some heat going.... @ Paul48 for the advice, I wasn't sure about using a Taco, I assumed that since the specs between a Taco 0010 and B&G series 100 are a bit different that it might not have been able to handle the load. Due to local supply and prices I ended up going with an Armstrong S-25. Not one of the 10 supply houses in my area had a single B&G in stock, Most places had nothing but the S25. The S25 swapped right in with very little hassle. Refilling and bleeding the second floor rads was the real hassle. Armstrong's seem to have a good rep and are a bit cheaper than B&G, Plus the Armstrong only needs 1/4oz of oil once per year as opposed to the B&G which required more frequent oilings and got oiled in 3 locations. The only big difference between the series 100 and the S25 was the way (cable entry location) the electric hooked up.

The S25 is so similar to a Series 100 that the parts interchange. Similar story around here - roughly 2/3rds the price of the B & G.0

Just to be clear.......Taco 110 or Taco 0010. Doesn't matter anyway.0

I type very fast, so it didn't take long and I did manage to quickly swap out pumps and that Armstrong worked great for the second floor radiators, but a few months later the other B&G went and a little taco that I had worked great for the first floor baseboards!
What took long, unfortunately was getting back to this site and thread. unfortunately a lot had gone one.
I ended up catching a severe virus in early 2016, that I couldn't shake for nearly 3 years, than got back to work for another 3 and then in Jan 2019 I had to replace the entire heating system and then retired at the end of 2020, lost my mom to dementia/copd/heart failure a few days before xmas 2021 and sold my old home in 2022 and moved about 4 years ago into a much smaller home, since all of our kids grew up, got married, bought their own homes and moved out, the wife and I no longer needed 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, play room, music room, large yard, massive kitchen, big living room, big dining room and all that extra space.
Much cozier and more affordable now, although I do find myself gutting and rebuilding each room one at a time, just like I did with my old house. lol
Biggest drawback here is that it has gas fired steam heat. eventually I will rip all that out and the large chimney go with a better, more efficient, closed hot water system and smaller in wall flue and replace the big space hogging radiators with smaller baseboards. lol
I hope you have all been well?

just for future reference, SupplyHouse.com has basically everything you could need and ships incredibly fast. I’ve been to a supply house less than 5 times in close to 2 years. Not counting water heaters & they even have those lol

We appreciate you getting back to us.
And don't rip out your steam. When a steam system is working as the Dead Men intended, it's just as good as hot-water. How about some pics of your system?
