Christmas Radiator project

I try to build a radiator for me wife every year for Christmas. This year a Revere Microbus, using mostly scrap copper and parts. The main body is an old Revere solar collector absorber. It's very thick copper with tubes extruded into the sheet. Flow thru the sheets with fin tube fastened between to force some convection transfer. Caleffi TRV of course.

Cool project Bob! You gonna publish ratings on it? You should couple the wheels to some kind of turbine so they turn whenever the water is flowing ;)

So THAT's what's behind all the 'art radiator' photos.

    Beautiful (as usual.)

    Nice ride!
    Retired and loving it.
  • That picture should be on the HeatingHelp annual calendar, along with pictures of the old grizzled pipe fitters who lurk here!

My favorite is the dog sculpture!

How large is the bus? It looks small in the first two pics and then larger in the last.

thanks "hydronic nation" It will go on the side of the bed frame, opposite the pantry radiator that Mike T sent me. It's about 36" long. I'll see if I can borrow Maxs IR camera and get some action shots.
