Propress for pex

Does anyone have any experience using the Propress on pex tubing? Any pros, cons, limits in types of tubing, effects on flow rates,pressure drops, etc etc.

    If you mean the stainless viega crimp rings, they work well. Downside is you need good access to get tool/jaw on, but they are very durable.

    Can the viega press fittings be used on all brands of pex or just viega pex?

    I've seen mix and matches but personally I stick to proprietary matches. Just a liability thing.

    Viega press is certified to ASTM F2159/F1807/F876/877, so any PEX tubing that meets the spec will work and (barring defects) would not affect performance or warranty coverage.

    ASTM F1960 (Uponor) and F2080 (Rehau) require PEX-A pipe due to the expansion step.
