Rattling coming from baseboard heating system

There's a constant rattling/jack-hammer/chain noise coming from my baseboard heating system. Originally I noticed it in a far room from the boiler, but traced the sound back to the boiler room. It appears to be coming from the expansion tank, but I can't be certain.

Here's a video of the noise: https://vidd.me/O4J

Any advice would be appreciated.

that are usually a check valve needing some adjustment.

    Rattle

It looks like your tank is screwed into the bottom port of a flow control valve . Open the valve with the manual opener and see if the rattle stops .

There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Yeah...

Can't say as I've ever seen one screwed in there. Any port in a storm eh…

What is your operating pressure? Static (pumps off) and running.

It had the right sized holes

in the right places, so we used it! I think we saw a photo here of one like it about a year ago -- could they be the work of the same genius?
