I've never seen one like this. It's 14" wide, 14" high, 16 sections. Each section is 3".

It's some sort of flue-type window radiator

closest thing I can find is the Aetna Flue, made by American Radiator Co. The Aetna is  not as wide as that one, so I'd estimate 10 square feet per section.

Searched everywhere for a name on it.

Thanks so much, that helps with my load calculation. My numbers were lower on my guess. From the time I posted this rad, I guessed it was going to be Steamhead coming up with the answer. There's a lot of incredible knowledge in this forum but I do see you and a couple others solving some real brain teasers.

  • Brilliant!

Between Frank and Gerry, it was a no-brainer. Very impressive.

    Thank you Gerry

You're one of the couple others I was thinking of. I'm very impressed with your wealth of knowledge and your willingness to share it with the rest of us.

    Radiator

I see a prime time game show in the future...contestants will need to identify radiators, hand valves, traps, and air eliminators. The lightning round will involve putting all of those components together into one branded Vapor/Vacuum system.

    Last but not Least JStar.

I also guessed you would be one who could identify this rad.The lightning round should consist of a flight to Buffalo for the 3 of you to solve the mystery of "Please help with banging steam pipes".

    A Booklet?

Gerry, I can see the image was scanned from a page in a booklet. Is this booklet something that is not in the HH Library? If there is more information there, could we get you to scan it and send it in to Dan?

    Thanks! Dave

I'd have to remember what book it was in..

I had that page in my private EDR papers i use to size radiators. I think it was Novelty iron works in canton ohio if memory serves..later bought by federal radiator. I think..we see those rads around here.

Gerry, you use that word "private" like it's a good thing.
