in Gas Heating
Crazy town, mid atlantic to NE averaging 77.00-91.00 vs henry hub of around 4.69. NYC was up to 120.00 at one point yesterday! Heating oil looks stable compared to this action and ng bill shock ahead for consumers in these regions. All about the lack of transmission pipes or so they say.

    America energy independent from "Foreign Oil"?

    The reason that the Wall Street Crime Syndicate is so hot to get the Keystone Pipeline approved and going is so they can send Canadian and North Dakota dirty tar sands crude oil to Texas, load it into tankers and send it to the big refinery in the US Virgin Islands. Process it, and send it back as imported fuel.

    There used to be an old saying on Wall Street. "Bears and Bulls make money. Pigs get slaughtered". The Pigs rewrote the rules and slaughtered the Bears and Bulls.



    Pigs Rule. They'll eat anything. Including their own.

    Remember the Energy Company, "Enron"? They bankrupted the State of California.

    Two municipal utilities (LADWP and SMUD) who didn't sell their generating plants when that seemed like the "thing to do."  Their ratepayers did not suffer anything like the SoCal Gas and PG&E customers did.

    Didn't the Sherman Anti-Trust Act make Monopoly's illegal? Didn't they break up ATT so there would be more competition in the communications market?

    We're now back to two or three companies controlling the whole US market and European Vodaphone  wants to buy one of them?

    That's competition for you.

    De-regulation

    Here in CT, electrical deregulation, was suppose to give consumers, a break, by allowing them to chose a generation company that provided lower rates. You are still locked into the company that owns the wires and poles that supply your home for "Distribution". Then they allowed the companies to double their rate for distribution, and charge based on KW/H for distribution. Boy, did they take care of us!!!

    the antics of some of the "generation" companies -- who actually don't own anything, but work as brokers buying power here and there and selling it to the poor suckers who switched.  For two months you pay the teaser rate -- and after that I've had friends quote me upwards of $.25 per kilowatt hour...
