Johnson Controls Pressuretrol

Hello all,
I am looking for some advice on the Johnson Controls pressuretrol that is currently set up on my WM P-SGO-3 (oil fired steam boiler). The lowest pressure I have been able to get the system to operate at is 4.5psi ( I attached a 0-5psi gauge to better trouble shoot), which I thought was way too high for the sake of vents, fuel efficiency, etc, If I dial the cut out on the pressuretrol any lower it will not cut back in and allow the boiler to fire again. I attempted to find manual for the pressuretrol in hopes of figuring this out, but have been unable to do so. A search on the great inter web barely has any info. I would love any input on how to lower the operating pressure of my system. Thanks in advance.

Check the pigtail under the pressuretrol
to see if it's plugged up. This can cause your symptoms. I usually blow into the pigtail, but that doesn't taste so good. All Steamed Up, Inc.

Clean as a whistle
The pigtail was clean, shot some compressed air for good measure, but there was very little buildup. It still ran: cut in 1, cut out 4.5, which is not even close to what is set on the pressuretrol.0 -
Then
you need a new pressure control. If that were mine I'd spend the extra money for a Vaporstat. You really don't need more than a pound anyway. All Steamed Up, Inc.

Reccomendations
I figured that was my next step. I can't even get the listed manufacturer (Johnson controls ) to give me any info on it so I'm sure it's probably older than the kid I talked to on the phone. Any suggestions on which model of vaporstat would best suit my needs?0 -
