Gas Conversions .....

.....Is this a good place to ask if there is a simple estimate available for a Vacuum Vapor System that uses about 1,200 gallons a year (nearly $5000 at today's per gallon prices on Long Island, NY) if I were to convert to gas, and/or thoughts is a good idea? I have estimates for a conversion to a 90% efficient gas burner and boiler (say $8000) but I am not convinced I want to do it?
Thanks

sounds like a good return on investment
In the seventies I replaced oil burners with gas burners. I suspect efficiency decreased but customers were still happy. They saved money and didn't miss smell of heating oil at all. Best of all was the decreased need for service.0 -
90% on Vapor-Vacuum?
Sounds like they're trying to get you to convert that system to hot-water. Don't do it unless you like living dangerously.
And we do NOT discuss pricing on this forum. All Steamed Up, Inc.
