retro fitting gas furnace to heat radiant in floor pex

Options
Hi

I am looking for some input on MacGyvering up a forced air gas furnace into a heat source for a closed in floor pex hot water/glycol system that runs through concrete and under a wood floor portion of the house.

My idea is to remove all duct work and coil copper tubing above the heat chamber of the furnace perhaps in a cone shape to force the heat to a point at the top before returning to the floor.

The tubing is in and manifold hooked up just trying to figure the heat source

Possible Im thinking. Any help would be greatly appreciated as cold weather is soon upon us.

    A Boiler....

A Boiler would make a great heat source for your project.

Assuming that you could convert your furnace without blowing anyone up or poisoning the occupants with CO gas, The efficiency would be really low.

They are designed to heat air not water.
