new radiators on old system

I'm remodeling the first floor of a two floor brick house and replacing the radiators, the second floor still has the old cast iron column radiators, do i need to use the same type on the first floor? or it dosen't mater if i use slenderized or the type thats set in to the wall (i forget what their called)?

It all depends on the heat loss of each room. You can use any type that you want, if they are the right size.0
