some of the dead men showing off

Our commisioner thought it would be a good idea to show some historical images of various workers and we now have a great display on the walls of the lobby of our building.

    Nice contribution

My son in law is from MN

They are currently ice fishing at the cabin in zero degree weather in Alaska

In the article this "Good moral character" thing is something to ponder. Just what is that?

    Stay warm out there!

    Check oout all that asbestos.

I wonder how many of those old dead guys died of asbestos related lung complications?

    these boilers don't look modular

if u take a look at the pic, on the front of the boiler it says,                             "portable smokless firebox boiler". portable?  do u think i could use my stair climber?

    Thanks for sharing.

Note how the installing company got their name on the boiler. That's a nice thing that manufacturers used to do. I'll bet it built great brand loyalty.

Note, too, how the journeymen wore hats and the apprentices wore caps.
    Retired and loving it.

You'd have to use both hands to move those portable boilers. My father laughed at me when I told him, my son and 2 of his buddies had struggled taking the halves of the 1920's cast iron tub down my stairs. He snickered, and said," I use to carry those up the stairs, by myself".

Is that a coal fired water heater to the left?
