    Thanks JStar

what a great place the WALL is. A caring grandson looking out for his grandmother comes here looking for help. Sends me an e-mail. I answer his questions and also give him a call on the phone.JStar answers this posting goes there today gives a proposal and I think we are now on the way to the installation of a gas power conversion burner on this oil boiler. Amazing stuff

And this all happened within 24 hours. The Wall really is an incredible place.

I will most definitely post pictures, and my review of the Carlin burner. The job is set for the first week of September. Pretty standard stuff. The piping is actually all correct, and the boiler was even sized properly!

We did this conversion yesterday. Here is a link to our Facebook page with pictures. The quality is awful, but it gives you the basic idea.

I have a few issues with the Carlin installation procedure. The flange is a little tricky to keep straight and level when tightening down the set screws. And we'll be installing a union after the gas valve from now on, to make redrilling the orifice a lot easier. It was also annoying to have to remove the gas valve electrical connections just to screw in my manometer fitting. I'll use a short 1/4" nipple next time.

Otherwise, it's a great little burner. I'm officially converting to Carlin.
