Permatex for Baseray nipples?

Hi all. It's been a long time since I was here!



In response to one of my own posts many years ago about BaseRay, someone mentioned that one should use Permatex on the nipples before installing. Is this the consensus? If so, which kind? I know there's many different types.

    Dope

    Regular pipe dope (Hercules Pro-Dope) works just fine. The dope should be applied evenly to the entire nipple and the press-fit will seal.it.
