The U.S. solar industry is facing a dim future despite growing demand, as more solar panel manufacturers file for bankruptcy, experience declines in stock prices and are weighed down by debt loads. Experts attribute the industry's woes to a glut of manufacturers that sell their products to the market. "The industry simply cannot support 300-plus cell and modular manufacturers, so the companies left will capitulate and exit the industry," said Suntech Power Holdings Chairman and CEO Zhengrong Shi. The Wall Street Journal (12/27) <img src="http://cdn.smartbrief.com/images/briefs2/common/sm_share.gif" width="34" height="14" alt="Right-click here to download pictures. solar thermal

I wish more consumers were aware of the solar thermal option. On the commercial side this seems to be a growing market. Applications with a large consistent thermal load are perfect for ST.
