Plug removal from boiler

Feel a little silly posting this.. however does anyone have a simple solution to removal of a plug in a new Burnham Boiler?? Don't know why they don't put a nipple & cap to make life easier..!!

    two sizes larger of a wrench

    than you would use to install it if a 14" would work use a 24" if it calls for a 18" use a 36" or what Steamhead said.

    Is it a recessed type plug?

    If so good luck,I`ve snapped breaker bars trying to get those things out and ended up having to drill and fillet the stupid things.

    Complained to Burnham but to no avail.

    That plug may have been installed for a reason. Why does it need to be removed? And can the need be solved with outside of the boiler piping?
