My husband & I are in 70s and are replacing 2 boilers.  The chimney will be relined. We want to know what makes most sense for us in terms of efficiency and maintenance.  Thanks

    That Depends

Not enough info to say either way. What was the heat loss? Would a condensing boiler make more sense since you wouldn't have to pay the expense of lining the chimmney? What are the heat emitters?

Or to look at it from another perspective

is there a safe place to exhaust a condensing boiler? If not, a relined chimney is the way to go.
