what makes the common side of a duel capacitor burn off at the terminal. the unit also has a potential relay and a start cap. the cap only a week.

    the most common cause is a loose connection.If the crimp connector can be "wiggled" it is loose .If the crimp connector has "metal fatigue" it is loose. A loose connection is a hot connection and then it's "burn ,baby, burn"
