NOS mercury vaporstat is garbage...

I have a NOS honeywell 0-16 oz (probably the last version of the mercury style before the microswitch) which is completely innacurate. I read Mr. Gill's thread and plan to build his testing rig.



Problem is no easy way to adjust this model. Only way I can think of is to pull the spring out and fool with it until I get the proper tension.



Has anyone done this?

    the scale is out of adjustment? Some of these have scales that you can slide after loosening two screws......

    I wish it were the scale..

    It's unfortunately the spring.I have to take it out and try to stretch it a bit, then hope for the best. absurd
