    If that's your first try

    you didn't do too badly. 3-inch all the way, looks like.



    The problem is that bullheaded tee at the end of the riser. Water in the header will slam against it and get carried into the system with the steam. You want the run of that tee horizontal, the steam main coming out of the bull, then a 3" nipple and a reducing 90 to go down to your equalizer. Then the water has no place to go except down the equalizer.



    With those unions, the upgrade should be fairly painless.

    Thanks Steamhead, I am pretty sure Holohan's book says something about putting in tees in a bullhead placement, i.e. not to! But I guess I was too busy being clever elsewhere.
