Will need more info as to the problem.... assuming the unit has a capulary limit . Check the aquastat / limit if it is set too high ,set to 170-180 , if correct it may not be sensing the water temperture. Make sure the capulary is fully inserted in well. Next replace limit.

Clicking sound .... May be related or not. Sounds like a intermiting short or contact. Need to check out electrical circurts.

    noise

    i have HE-4 weil mclain boiler makes loud clunking noise periodically . Has series 100 booster. temp climbs to 230 but quickly declines when booter kicks on. also clicking noise from juncture boxes for thermastats. please help
