The curtains are on each side of the radiator touching the sides.

    Curtains

    Hello,
    Would curtains touching a steam radiator cause any problems??
    I have measured the radiator at about 180 degrees which I believe is below the point at which the fabrics would face problems.
    Any thoughts gentlemen?

    Material

    Not to say it is a hazard. But depending on the material the curtains are made of, it could promote accelerated deteration of the material. Are the curtains in direct contact, hanging above the radiators, or when closed hanging in front of the radiators which would then block heat transfer to the room.
