i set expansion tank to 12 psi

    i have an electric allied boiler that will drop its pressure to zero when not used for a day or so. I replaced auto feed, expansion tank, check valve. i closed off all zones to be sure no leak out there, still losing pressure. when boiler kicks back on small amount of water enters through auto feed- not much-pressure shoots back up to 12 psi and all is well..no water loss from boiler anywhere. whats going on? boiler runs great but this is confusing

    What's the air pressure in the expansion tank when the system is off, cold and the tank is empty?
