any tips on running a radiant loop off a steam boiler?

If it is not being used for domestic hot water. They make coils with 3/4" tappings for this purpose. I did one that way and it worked great, no worries about sediment.

    Definately use a plate exchanger with the circulator and exchanger protected by a wye strainer and bypass

    Add sediment faucets to steam in and condensate out ports on your heat exchanger, to allow flushing of mud out of the small galleries within the plate type heat exchangers.
    Shell and tube type exchangers have less fouling problems but are larger in size and more expensive.
