Quick control valve question:
Is the close-off pressure the max differential across the valve (as I have always assumed) or is it the water pressure at the valve?

    Differential

    The issue is against what differential pressure the valve can hold closed.

    The net water pressure at the valve has to do with the valve body and assembly rating.
