best boiler for the buck

If sticking with oil i would say a buderus g115 a very good unit service friendly with small features that do make a difference like excellent well insulated boiler ,no combustion chamber kit to replace , baffles to lower stack temp and very easy to get completly clean .And for gas i would do a condensing modulating boiler like a munchkin i believe it is a great value for the money i have installed a weil ultra and was not to impressed personally it's probaly a good unit but i did not like certain things about it .The big sale thing for me is that most chimmey do require a liner kit and by the time you add that into the equation of a conventinal boiler the direct vent munchkin has it beat plus they are very quite the t50 and t80 i reacentinstalled where very quite like a small refregerator .hope this helps peace and good luck clammy
