PEX in Gravity?
Options
ever patch in a gravity system with pex? We have a couple risers in the way of a new medicine cabinet and it sure would be easier to use pex than elbow our way around it. The system IS hooked up to a new Prestige so there is some forced circulation. Any thoughts?

If you're
using the Prestige pump, it's no longer a gravity system.
Keep the PEX sloping upward whenever possible; should work fine if you keep the length short. Try it out before you cover up.0 -
Hot water?
Seems that if the inside diameter was close, and proper support was present, I would think it would be fine. Oxygen barrier of course. Take into consideration the temp. ratings as compared to the system operation. PEX can be a wonderful thing! My 2 cents.
PeaceThere was an error rendering this rich post.

Thanks
True on the pump, figured I'd toss the idea out there in case anyone has a good horror story to tell. ;-)0
