in THE MAIN WALL
Hello to all on the wall and Dan. Thanks for all the great information to all on the wall. This past year I insulated my building by about an R30 value (from 0). From 11/27/07 to 12/14/07 I used 391.4 gallons of oil for 447.5 HDD. From 11/17/08 to 12/5/08 I used 190.8 gallons of oil for 461.5 HDD. That was a savings of about 200.6 gallons, does this sound right? I hope so. Happy Holidays to all.

    Comparisons

    I believe that this year here in NYC, there have significant more degree days, than last year. Your savings calculations actually would increase, here.

    Thanks Ted. The building is in Nassau County NY. I used LGA for HDD numbers.

    Sorry . . . I didn't read closely enough to see that HDD's ae the same as (my) degree days
